My Incredible iPhone 4 News

Last Thursday, I pre-ordered two iPhone 4s (one for Krystal and one for me) and really didn't think the transaction went through until I received shipment confirmations on Sunday. I was doubtful about the transaction going through because AT&T store told me it wasn't possible to pay with Credit/Debit card. Their bad information caused me to go home and order the first iPhone 4 through Apple.com at around 7:30 p.m. eastern and the second around 10:00 p.m. eastern.

This morning I received emails for each phone that said that even though FedEx tracking shows that I should receive my phones on 24 June by 4:30 p.m., I'll actually receive them TOMORROW! One full day before "launch day!" I need to activate my iPhone 4 tomorrow evening and go into the AT&T store and thank them for passing me off to Apple.com! They did me a huge favor.

I'll take pictures of my iPhone and post them to this site tomorrow night.

Weekly SITREP (21-27 June 2010)

Currently....getting ready to leave for work.

Wednesday...South Carolina Gamecocks play their elimination game in the Loser's Bracket. Go Gamecocks!

Thursday...is iPhone 4 launch day and two iPhone should be arriving at house! Woot!

Friday...after work, I'll probably attempt to activate my iPhone 4. Activation on launch day is going to be a nightmare.

World Cup and College World Series will consume my free time most of the week.

Irish Wake at McGuire's Irish Pub

 
This drink knocked me trashed me while visiting McGuire's Irish Pub in Destin, Florida last November.

Here are the directions in case you want to make it at home.

Irish Wake
1/4 Cup Rum, gold (Bacardi)
1/4 Cup Rum, overproof/151 proof (Bacardi 151)
1/4 Cup Curacao, blue
16 oz. Orange Juice
2 pieces Cherries/Maraschinos

Pour Orange Juice over ice into mason jar. Add rums and stir. Then add blue curacao and top with a red and a green cherry.

Chapel Bridge in Lucerne, Switzerland

I visited Lucerne, Switzerland on 14 July 2007. I'm a huge fan of Switzerland and it was my favorite country I visited on my European vacation of 2007. It was in Lucerne on that day that a purchased a Swiss Army watch that I still wear frequently.

I usually remember what I ate while in the different countries and cities. However, I can't remember what I ate that day in Lucerne. I'll add a comment once I remember.

iPhone 4 Update for 19 June

Wanted to give a quick update on my iPhone 4 pre-order. One of the $210.94 pending charges for my iPhone 4 disappeared from my bank account a couple days ago (hasn't returned yet) and this morning the $210.94 pending charge for Krystal's iPhone 4 disappeared. After checking again tonight, I noticed the pending charge for Krystal's iPhone 4 reappeared! I'm completely confused and still don't know if my iPhone will show up on Thursday or not. I probably wouldn't try to activate it until Friday because it'll be a frustrating process on launch day, but if my phone doesn't arrive at all I'm afraid I won't be able to find an iPhone 4 until middle of July. Ugh!

Please leave a comment if you are having similar problems with the pending charge disappearing or not showing up at all in your bank account.
